"Feeling Blue" was created in the summer of 2019, during a time when I was navigating a sense of melancholy. The title reflects the mood I was in, but the piece itself became an exploration of light, shadow, and emotion. Inspired by a striking image of a model’s face in a magazine, I was drawn to the way shadows danced across her features, creating a sense of depth and mystery. This connection between the light and dark led me to translate the emotional weight of the moment onto canvas.
